Western Pacific: Thailand to Indonesia and the Philippines (Ref. 12693), New Guinea (Ref. 2847) and the Ryukyu Islands (Ref. 559).

Max length : 8.2 cm TL オス/雌雄の選別がない; (Ref. 7050)
背面の脊椎 (合計) : 7 - 8; 背鰭 (合計) : 9 - 10; 肛門の骨: 3; 臀鰭: 8 - 9. Cheek scales in 2 rows. Lateral line strongly curved midway and runs long with a silvery mid-lateral band. Lower margin of interoperculum with a single spine.
Adults occur in brackish mangrove estuaries and lower reaches of freshwater streams (Ref. 2847, 37816). Probably feed on small insects, crustaceans and other invertebrates. Not seen in markets (Ref. 12693).
