背棘 (总数) : 0; 臀棘: 0. Head with scarcely developed ridges; eyes large; chin barbel short; light organ small, adjacent to anus. First dorsal-fin spine smooth. Scales densely covered with lanceolate spinules, arranged in quincunx or convergent rows.
头部有发育不良的脊; 眼大的; 下巴触须短; 发光器小又邻近肛门。 第一背鳍棘平滑的。 鳞片厚密地覆盖着被排列成梅花状或趋集于一点的列的矛尖形的小刺了。
Occurs on the continental slope (Ref. 9563).
