Short description Chiavi di identificazione | Morfologia | Morfometria

Spine dorsali (totale) : 11 - 13; Raggi dorsali molli (totale) : 11 - 15; Raggi anali molli: 11 - 13. Distinguished from populations of Crystallaria asprella of the Gulf Coast, Mississippi River and Wabash River by a combination of the following features: gape width larger approximately equal to or exceeding the inter-pelvic fin base width; a preorbital blotch distinctly separate from the anterior orbital rim; pelvic fins distinctly falcate in both sexes; cheek scale rows reduced (modally 2); opercle scale rows reduced (modally 2); number of midlateral blotches higher (modally 13); number of anal-fin rays lower (modally 13); number of dorsal-fin spines lower (modally 12); and scales below the lateral line higher (modally 11) (Ref. 74948).

Biologia     Glossario (es. epibenthic)

Found mostly in waters with moderate flows over a sand, gravel and cobble mix of benthic substrate within the lower sections of riffles or upper parts of pools (Ref. 75199).

Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00389 (0.00180 - 0.00842), b=3.12 (2.94 - 3.30), in cm total length, based on all LWR estimates for this body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  3.4   ±0.4 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilienza (Ref. 120179):  Alto, tempo minimo di raddoppiamento della popolazione meno di 15 mesi (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
