Rayons mous dorsaux (Total) : 7; Rayons mous anaux: 5. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: body small, elongate, with head depressed; with a poorly-developed callous pad behind lower lip; the pad not distinctly delimited posteriorly; head is deep (depth at occiput 47.3-72.3% HL); body stout and deep (depth at dorsal fin origin 17.3-21.7 % SL); gape width 27.3-32.8% HL; inter-orbital space 33.9-43.2% HL; eyes visible in ventral view; lower lip is rounded; mouth is small, inferior and horizontal, the mouth opening situated very close to anterior tip of snout; upper lip is concealed by poorly-developed slightly fringed rostral fold; rostral fold with minute papillae; simple pectoral-fin rays 3; lateral-line scales 33-34 (Ref. 122022).

Biologie     Glossaire (ex. epibenthic)

Inhabits cool, clear streams with riparian vegetation and a steep gradient; mainly of stones, bedrock, some sand, boulders and gravels substrates; and the water volume is apparently much higher during the rainy season. Occurs together with Rasbora daniconius, Devario aequipinnatus and Garra mullya (Ref. 122022).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = No PD50 data   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00813 (0.00377 - 0.01751), b=3.05 (2.87 - 3.23), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Résilience (Ref. 120179):  Haut, temps minimum de doublement de population inférieur à 15 mois (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
