Chaves de identificação | Morfologia | Morfometria
Espinhos dorsais (total) : 2; Raios dorsais (total) : 8 - 9; Raios anais : 6. Can be diagnosed from all other members of the Chaetostoma group by having plates on the tip of the snout (except for a central region at the extreme anterior edge), but lacking plates laterally on the head (Ref. 89823).

Estimates based on models
Índice de diversidade filogenética (Ref.

50 = 0.7500 [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.01514 (0.00712 - 0.03216), b=2.97 (2.80 - 3.14), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref.
