Spine dorsali (totale) : 0; Raggi dorsali molli (totale) : 6 - 7; Raggi anali molli: 5 - 6; Vertebre: 39 - 40. Belongs to the Oreoglanis siamensis species group as it possesses a distinct median notch on the posterior margin of the lower lip. Can be distinguished from other members of the genus in having a combination of the following characters: long nasal barbel reaching to anterior orbital margin, maxillary barbel with pointed tip, tip of pectoral fin not reaching pelvic-fin origin, caudal peduncle length 16.7-22.6 % SL, eye diameter 9.8-14.3 % HL, and an emarginate caudal fin (Ref. 83406).
Occurs in rocky, fast-flowing streams (Ref. 83406).
