A small sized, shallow and narrow-bodies barb (Ref. 47354). Head depth and body depth are about equal (Ref. 47354). The eyes are large, its diameter 34% of head length, with a small interorbital width (Ref. 47354). The lower jaw is rather long, 43.3% of head length, has a high inclination and makes a pronounced angle with the ventral head profile (Ref. 47354). The pharyngeal tooth formula is 5-3-2:2-3-5 (Ref. 47354). The barbels are short, the anterior barbel length 4.7% of head length (Ref. 47354). Scales: 10-12 predorsal scales (Ref. 47354). Live specimens are in general silvery white and the dorsal side of the head is blackish (Ref. 47354).
