पृष्ठीय रीढ़ (सम्पूर्ण) : 12; पृष्ठीय सौफट रेज़ (सम्पूर्ण) : 11 - 13; गुदा कांटा: 2; ऐनल सौफट रेज़: 11 - 12; जानवरों की रीड़ का जोड़: 26. Body very dark gray-brown, depth 1.95-2.1 in SL. Caudal fin abruptly white. Narrow posterior part of dorsal and anal fins hyaline. Base of pectoral fins with a large black spot. Upper and lower spiniform procurrent caudal rays 2; upper and lower 2 branched caudal rays filamentous and often very long. Tube lateral line scales 16-18, rarely 16. Free margin of subopercle nearly reaching a vertical at rear margin of pupil.
