شعاع نرم باله پشتي (کل) : 11 - 13; شعاع نرم باله مخرجي: 10 - 12. Distinguished by having seven pectoral filaments, not reaching midpoint of anal fin; depth of posterior margin of maxilla less than eye diameter; snout pointed; and body in life, usually brown above and golden or silvery below.
