簡単な記述 検索表 | 形態学 | 形態計測学

背鰭 (合計) : 9 - 10; 臀鰭: 12 - 13; 脊つい: 33 - 35. Without lateral line, without infraorbital process, with mostly 7 branched dorsal-fin rays and 9-10 branched anal-fin rays. Danio apopyris can be distinguished from all other Danio species by the combination of having 4-6 dark vertical bars anteriorly on the sides of the body, a horizontal dark P stripe extending to the end of the median caudal-fin rays, and no barbels. It differs in color pattern from the other barred Danio by having the horizontal P stripe extending onto the end of the caudal-fin rays instead of being confined to the caudal peduncle, and in the possession of a P + 1 stripe. Danio apopyris and Danio apogon are the only two barred Danio species without barbels and without lateral line.
