Short description Chiavi di identificazione | Morfologia | Morfometria

Disc about as long as broad. End of snout with a short prolongation. Tail brownish dorsally, pale ventrally with a series of small blackish spots laterally; slender; width at the axis of pelvic fins 0.6-0.7 times as great as eye diameter; length from the middle of cloaca to its tip 0.8-1.2 times the distance from the middle of cloaca to the base of terminal prolongation of the snout. Closely resembles S. melanosoma differing in having the maximum width of disc at posterior 2/5, maximum anterior angle in front spiracles about 84-91° (Ref. 41248).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.6250   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.01000 (0.00244 - 0.04107), b=3.04 (2.81 - 3.27), in cm total length, based on all LWR estimates for this body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  3.7   ±0.6 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilienza (Ref. 120179):  Basso, tempo minimo di raddoppiamento della popolazione 4.5 - 14 anni (Assuming fecundity<100).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low to moderate vulnerability (34 of 100).
