Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13 - 14; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 15 - 17. Body iridescent silver in color (Ref. 3980). Slender body, caudal peduncle strongly compressed, extremely short. Photophores with a bronzy rim. Barbel pale, bulb and filaments yellowish (Ref. 37473).
