Dorsal spines (total): 4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8; Anal spines: 3; Anal soft rays: 5. Preserved color yellowish brown, slightly dusky above, top of head brown; all fins pale. Dorsal profile low with a pronounced nuchal hump. 11 scales between nape and dorsal; 2.5 scales between ventrals and lateral line. Non-continuous post labial groove across the chin. Long snout broad and blunt, 3X in head.
