Diagnosis: dorsal, pectoral and adipose fins with distinct spine anteriorly; a series of bony scutes on body posterior of the dorsal-fin origin; lateral abdominal surface not covered with superficial scutes; scapulo-coracoid and clavicle lack superficial rugose plates (Ref. 90257).
