Africa: only known from the Djim, a small tributary of the Mbam which enters the Sanaga downstream from the Nachtingal Falls (Ref. 81642, 94168).

Distance between bases of anal and caudal fins 4.6-6.9% of standard length; pre-dorsal body depth small, i.e. 6.9-12.0% of standard length; 9-10 soft dorsal-fin rays; interorbital distance 18.2-23.7% of head length; combined premaxillary tooth plate of average width, 18.2-29.1% of head length (Ref. 94168).
