Spine dorsali (totale) : 7; Raggi dorsali molli (totale) : 11; Spine anali: 1; Raggi anali molli: 11. Has elongate gold-centered dark markings both on the head and vertically on the lower sides of the body (Ref. 1602); further characterized by pale grey body color; large dark brown spots and scattered smaller spots on body; belly and ventral body above anal fin with vertical orange lines; oblique orange bands on head; base of upper pectoral fin with small white spot, larger spot on basal part of fin; longitudinal scale series 48-56; opening of gill extending slightly anterior to vertical at posterior edge of preopercle; greatest depth of body 4.7-5.5 in SL; longer caudal fin compared to head length; fifth and sixth branched caudal rays slightly prolonged as filaments (Ref. 90102).
