Etymology: Eusphyra: eu- (Gr.), good, well or very; sphyra (Gr.), hammer, referring to immense hammer-shaped head (See ETYFish); laticeps: latus (L.), wide or broad; ceps (New Latin), head, referring to wider head compared with other hammerhead sharks known to Cantor (See ETYFish).
