Rayons mous dorsaux (Total) : 10; Rayons mous anaux: 6. Garra robertsi differs from its only other congener in Borneo, G. borneensis, by the following characters: five transverse scale rows above lateral line (vs. four); when depressed, first dorsal-fin ray extending beyond the posterior-most extent of any other part of the dorsal fin (vs. not extending posteriorly beyond last ray); scales on the breast deeply embedded (vs. exposed); absence (vs. presence) of a stark, contrasting black stripe on lower caudal-fin rays; snout with two nearly continuous patches of tubercles (vs. 3 discrete patches); absence (vs. presence) of a lateral stripe; presence (vs. absence) of broad suborbital bar; a thickened anteromedial fold on the lower lip; and fewer papillae extending onto the callous pad from the posterior flap of the lower lip (Ref. 103293).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00759 (0.00331 - 0.01740), b=3.05 (2.88 - 3.22), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this Genus-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Résilience (Ref. 120179):  Haut, temps minimum de doublement de population inférieur à 15 mois (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
