Differs from Sisor rabdophorus and other congeners in the Ganges-Brahamputra drainage system by following characters: 58-62 lateral line ossicles; 42-45 and 17- 18 serrations on anterior and posterior edges of pectoral spine, respectively; body depth maximum 8.7-10.11, at anus 6.52-7.4 of SL; eye diameter 16.05 -18.24% of HL; and wider nuchal plate (1.44- 1.66 of its length) (Ref. 93679)
