Etymology: Sternarchorhynchus: Greek, sternon = sternon, + Greek, archos = anus + Greek, rhyngchos = snout (Ref. 45335); inpai: Named for the Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (INPA), in Manaus, Brazil.
