Épines dorsales (Total) : 0; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total) : 34 - 36; Épines anales: 0; Rayons mous anaux: 23 - 25; Vertèbres: 44 - 45. Can be differentiated from all congeners by its unique color pattern consisting of a number of small back spots on the cheeks (less than half of pupil size), usually 4 white semicircular narrow bands on pectoral fin, one anterior dorsal fin blotch, series of reddish-orange blotches and numerous tiny black spots on the body (Ref. 75135).
