背的軟條 (總數) : 73 - 76; 臀鰭軟條: 56 - 61; 脊椎骨: 41. The species is distinguished by having the following characters: Vertebrae 11+30=41, dorsal fin rays 73-76, anal fin rays 56-61; small eyes (1.5-2.1% SL); outer pseudoclasper with small ear-lobe extension opening inwards; inner pseudoclasper free from outer pseudoclasper, with supporter, forming a sharp, forward-inclined thorn; narrow scale patch on cheek, absence of scales on operculum; head profile slender; otolith length to height ratio 2.0-2.2 (Ref. 57884).
此魚種被藉著區別有下列的特徵: Vertebrae 11+30=41 ，背鰭鰭條 73-76, 臀鰭棘條 56-61; 小的眼 (1.5-2.1% SL); 外部的 pseudoclasper 有小的耳朵-葉的延長開口內部; 內部的 pseudoclasper 與外部的 pseudoclasper 分離,藉由支持者,形成一個銳利地, 向前的-使刺傾向了; 在頰上的狹窄的鱗片小區塊,在鰓蓋上缺乏鱗片; 頭部輪廓細長的; 對高度比 2.0-2.2 的耳石長度.(參考文獻 57884)
