Last simple dorsal ray smooth and flexible (Ref. 53378). The tip of the pectoral fin is falling short of the pelvic-fin origin (Ref. 53378). Caudal peduncle relatively elongated, 1.4 to 1.7 times as long as deep (Ref. 53378). Scales radially striated (Ref. 53378): 22-25 lateral-line scales, 3½ scales between the lateral line and dorsal-fin origin, 3½ to 4½ scales between lateral line and mid-ventral line in front of the pelvic-fin origin, 2 scales between the lateral line and pelvic-fin origin, and 9 to 10 scales around caudal peduncle (Ref. 53378). Bayesian length-weight: a=0.01230 (0.00558 - 0.02710), b=2.97 (2.80 - 3.14), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this Genus-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  3.0   ±0.3 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Resilienza (Ref. 120179):  Alto, tempo minimo di raddoppiamento della popolazione meno di 15 mesi (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
