Environment: milieu / climate zone / depth range / distribution range
Ecologia
; Água doce demersal. Tropical
South America: lower to upper Amazon basin.
Tamanho / Peso / Idade
Maturity: Lm ?  range ? - ? cm
Max length : 3.5 cm SL macho/indeterminado; (Ref. 49504)
Raios dorsais moles (total) : 44 - 56; Raios anais moles: 46 - 49; Vértebras: 35 - 36. Lacks a gill opening on the eyed side; having 2 or 3 series of scales with rounded posterior margin and larger than other trunk scales along dorsal, anal and pelvic fin bases on the eyed side.
