الأشعة الظهرية الناعمة (المجموع) : 3 - 4; أشعه شرجية لينه: 76 - 85; فقرات: 56 - 58. Head width 11.4-13.3% SL; caudal peduncle depth 3.7-4.3% SL; anal fin rays 76-85; vertebrae 56-58 (Ref. 52514).

Inhabits large, slow flowing rivers and lakes (Ref. 52514) and swamps (Ref. 56749). Juveniles sometimes occur in smaller streams (Ref. 52514). Feeds on smaller fishes and crustaceans (Ref. 52514).
