الأشواك الظهرية (المجموع) : 1; الأشعة الظهرية الناعمة (المجموع) : 7; شوكة شرجية: 0; أشعه شرجية لينه: 27 - 32. Short caudal peduncle (14-16.7% SL). Large eye diameter (22.8-29.4% HL). Short mandibulary barbel (19.6-45.8% HL). Short predorsal length (30.1-32.7% SL) (Ref. 46915).
Facultative air-breathing (Ref. 126274); Small specimens (smaller than 15 cm) were collected in brackish water in the river delta, while larger ones were found in the upper part. No vegetation were found at the banks, relatively strong current, deep and turbid water. An omnivorous fish, feeding mainly on insects and small fruits. Spawning periods unknown (Ref. 46915).
