Head small, pointed and slender; snout short and protruded; mouth slit slanted; large eyes at the center of head, towards tip, interorbital space convex. Long, rhombic body; back behind head convex. Belly scutes from base of pelvic fin to anus. Body gray on back, silvery white on lower sides and belly, a horizontal gray stripe along the central axis; gray on caudal fin and semi-transparent on others (Ref. 45563).
Adults inhabit clear still or slow-moving waters of small rivers (Ref. 45563).
