Characterized by black and white color pattern on body; small black spot at middle of caudal fin base between two small yellow spots; body with yellow streaks; translucent fins except first dorsal black on anterior third and remainder of fin yellow; base of dorsal and anal fins with dark brown band; head and nape without scales; rounded caudal fin (Ref. 90102).
Inhabits mangrove shores and brackish lakes in 0-2 m (Ref. 90102).
