Caudal- fin rays 8; pectoral fin deeply notched, pectoral girdle with 3 radials, uppermost ventrally notched; parapophyses of vertebrae 5-11 fused to form a nephrohaemal canal; pectoral fin with 1 rudimentary ray each present in notch and in lower lobe; chin pores separated by one pore diameter, in common oval, pigmented depression on anterior surface of chin; gill opening ventral end horizontal with lower margin of pupil; head compressed, HL 19.6% SL, preanal 39% SL; color dark brown, lips light grey, peritoneum black, mouth and tongue grey (Ref. 42734).
Found on the continental slope. Benthic (Ref. 75154). Almost ripe eggs about 4.1 mm in diameter (Ref. 42734).
