Scales between 5th dorsal fin spine base and lateral line 3.5. Last dorsal fin spine almost the same length or slightly shorter than penultimate spine. Anal spines generally slender . Caudal fin short, lobes broadly rounded. Pelvic fin rays with wide white margin posteriorly (Ref. 39283).
A rare species collected from a shallow seagrass bed at approximately 1.5 m depth (Ref. 39283).
