Dorsale stekels (totaal) : 7; Dorsale zachte stralen (totaal) : 10 - 12; Anale stekels: 1; Anale zachte stralen: 10 - 11; Wervels: 27. Body white, with 3 reddish-orange stripes. Head with 2 median cephalic sensory pores. First dorsal fin extremely long, with longest spine, 64-109% SL; first 2 spines and membrane white. Black spot on middle of first dorsal fin distally. Second dorsal fin rays I, 10-12. Caudal fin rounded (Ref. 40962); characterized further by: united pelvic fins, well developed frenum present; longitudinal scale series 82-96; head without scales; cycloid scales covering body, somewhat embedded; greatest depth of body 6.3-7.4 in SL (Ref. 90102).
