Differs from Discogobio yunnanensis, the only other species of the genus in Yuanjiang drainage in China, by scales on breast and belly extending forward at most to midlength of pectoral fin, except sometimes for a few isolated scales in naked area; and a stripe irregular, conspicuous on entire flank (Ref. 55924).
有别于 云南盘鮈〔Discogobio yunnanensis〕 , 在中国的沅江流域的唯一其他种的本属, 借着鳞片在胸部与腹面上最多对胸鳍的身体中央向前延伸, 除了有时之外对于一些孤立的鳞片在裸露区中; 而且一条斑纹不规则的, 显著的在整个的侧面上.(参考文献 55924)
