An overall pale grey coloration with dusky fins, with a distinctly spatulate 'duck-billed' snout. It is distinguished from Mogurnda fulva in having a shorter head, narrower interorbital, less steep mouth and a longer caudal fin (Ref. 36923).
Commonly observed around the mouth of the Soro river over beds of matted algae Nitella pseudoflabellata and the eel grass Valisneria natans. Specimens collected with the use of handnets while using SCUBA (Ref. 36923).
