Rückenflossenstacheln (insgesamt) : 9 - 11; Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt) : 13 - 14; Afterflossenstacheln: 1; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 12 - 14; Wirbelzahl: 26. Pelvic fins totally united into rounded disk. First dorsal high, greyish; spots and elongate spines absent; when appressed reaching D2 origin. Second dorsal with dusky stripe mesially; whitish spots medial to this stripe. Caudal fin blackish medially. Anal fin translucent, spots and stripes absent (Ref. 35996).
Facultative air-breathing (Ref. 126274); Known from the intertidal mudflat of the Suir river of Tebing Tinggi I., Sumatra. Associated with Periophthalmus novemradiatus and P. gracilis (Ref. 35996).
