Etymology: Lebiasina: Derived from Greek, lebias, lebiou = a kind of fish (Ref. 45335).
Issue
zzzAT MORPHOLOGY Lebiasina uruyensis occurs in the Auyan-Tepui region in the western portion of the Gran Sabana of Venezela. It is distinct from its nearby relative, Piabucina unitaeniata, in having a deeper body, its lack of an adipose fin and in its color pattern. Eschmeyer, 1998:1732.
