Biologie     Fachlexikon (Englisch) (z.B. epibenthic)

Juveniles are found in the littoral zone of the lakes and streams, while the adults inhabit the middle and lower water layers of the lakes. Individuals return from the lake to streams to spawn in June; parental fishes spawn several times from July to September every year. The males dig pits with their anal fin rays and lay the eggs in the pit. Threatened by habitat degradation, water pollution, over-exploitation and invasion of exotic species (most notably, Micropercops swinhonis) (Ref. 89909).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5625   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00550 (0.00266 - 0.01136), b=3.09 (2.91 - 3.27), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this (Sub)family-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  2.9   ±0.2 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Widerstandsfähigkeit (Ref. 120179):  mittel, Verdopplung der Population dauert 1,4 - 4,4 Jahre. (Preliminary K or Fecundity.).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Moderate vulnerability (40 of 100).
