Inhabits streams and creeks with moderate to swift, relatively cold and well-oxygenated water (Ref. 7050). Lives in hill streams to lowland peats (Ref. 57235). Found in medium to large rivers and brooks of the middle Mekong (Ref. 12975). Occurs in running waters of lower Mekong (Ref. 36667).
