Diagnosis: snout longer than half the head length (southern Nigeria and Cameroon); body depth 5.25-7x and head length 2.8-3x SL; head 3.75-4.85x longer than wide; snout more than half of head length (53-58%); scale formula 11.5-13.5/95-100/11-13 (Ref. 2936, 86396). 92-104 (Ref. 81638) or 95-100 (Ref. 2936, 86396) lateral line scales.
体高 5.25-7 x, 头长 2.8-3 x SL。 头部 3.75-4.85 倍于宽的。 吻超过一半的头长 (53-58%). 小鳞片。 侧边与身体下半部银白色。 上半部，吻与头部橄榄绿色的。 中动脉侧面的条纹深色的从眼到尾鳍的中央部份。 来自在脂鳍水平结合背部中央线的颈部后面的另一个深色条纹而且继续到尾鳍。 结合后脑部与背鳍基底的后端的第三条背部中央条纹。 在每个叶上尾鳍有 3条深色的斜纹。
