Biologie     Glossaire (ex. epibenthic)

Affinities: Brienomyrus longianalis. Occurs in most coastal basins in West Africa (Ref. 2703). Within this species complex, four distinct waveforms of electric organ discharge (EOD) were noted in the Gabon (Ivindo River) populations, probably pointing to separate species (Ref. 10460). Exhibits sexual dimorphism in its EOD waveform and duration (Ref. 10011; 10764 ). EOD has a constant waveform and variable sequence of pulse intervals (SPI) (Ref. 55567).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.6250   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00912 (0.00565 - 0.01471), b=2.71 (2.58 - 2.84), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this species & (Sub)family-body (Ref. 93245).
Niveau trophique (Ref. 69278):  2.8   ±0.31 se; based on food items.
Résilience (Ref. 120179):  Milieu, temps minimum de doublement de population : 1,4 à 4,4 années (Assuming Fec < 5,000).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Low vulnerability (10 of 100).
