Short description

Espinas dorsales (total) : 12; Radios blandos dorsales (total) : 9; Espinas anales: 3; Radios blandos anales: 5. 4th dorsal spine longest (Ref. 26890). Brownish orange-red, finely mottled with pale and blotched with dark brown, most conspicuous marking being two dark blotches on body above pectoral fin (Ref. 26890).
Known only from the holotype taken by hand from rocky bottom (Ref. 26890).
