Distinguished from congeners in British Isles by its elongate body, depth 15-18% SL. Differs further by the combination of the following characters: drab body, plain or with whitish spots; 8-11 parr marks; no white margins on fins (Ref. 59043).
A lacustrine species. Attains a maximum size of up to about 18 cm SL (Ref. 59043).
