No horizontal dark stripes on body; anal fin either completely black or with dark margin; a marked dark humeral blotch; dorsal head profile strongly convex; snout length less than two eye diameters; interocular distance 30-40% in head length; gape almost the length of the snout; pectoral fin 69-75% in head length.
