Adults occur in rocky riffles and runs of medium to large rivers. Often found near vegetation (Ref. 5723, 10294). They feed on hydropsychid caddisfly larvae, ephemerellid mayfly nymphs, and blackfly and midge larvae (Ref. 10294).
