Etymology: Roeboexodon: Latin, rubus, ruber, reddish + Latin, ex = out + Greek, odous = teeth.
Issue
Species inquirenda in Characidae according to Reis et al. (2003: Ref. 48062). This species is uncertain in Eschmeyer (CofF ver. Jul. 2010: Ref. 84883), but is placed in the genus Roeboexodon . Please send references, or more studies are needed.
