Usually in clear, slow moving shallow water over sand or small pebbles, or stagnant areas along upper and middle river courses. The species consumes a wide variety of food, including most aquatic algae, small crustaceans and aquatic insect larvae. The spawning season is supposed to be in May.
通常在清澈的, 在沙子或者小的小圆石上的缓慢移动的浅水区, 否则污浊的区域沿着上游与中游的河段。 此鱼种消费各式各样的食物, 包括大多数的水生藻类, 小型甲壳动物与水生的昆虫幼生。 产卵季节应该是五月时。
