Adults inhabit rocky riffles and runs of clear small to medium rivers (Ref. 86798). They feed on periphyton and aquatic insect larvae dominated by dipterans (midges and blackflies) and mayflies (Baetidae and Potamanthus) (Ref. 10294). Migratory behaviour is undetermined (Ref. 126106).
