Radios blandos dorsales (total) : 8 - 9; Radios blandos anales: 8 - 9. Caudal peduncle thick and deep. Body deep and compressed with nape high rising steeply from short, pointed head. Lateral line with 49-60 scales. Dorsal and anal fins with 8-9 rays. Pharyngeal teeth 2,5-4,2 (Ref. 86798).
