Radios blandos anales: 7 - 8. Eremichthys acros is distinguished by the following characters: absence of barbel or frenum; dorsal fin origin behind pelvic-fin origin; complete or incomplete lateral line with 68-78 scales; anal fin with 7-8 rays; pharyngeal teeth 0,5-4,0; hard sheath on upper and lower jaws; small, slightly subterminal mouth; black lips; short blunt snout; deep chubby body; and color consists of olive above, bright green stripe along upper side, yellow-brassy side, silver below, and amber-white fins (Ref. 86798).
Found in waters as warm as 100°F (38°C) (Ref. 5723, 86798).
