Lunate caudal fin with elongate, strap-like, lower principal ray in mature males. Straight gill slit. Nasal barbel reaching about 1/4 of the distance to the eye. Maxillary barbel with rounded tip. Sides of body below adipose fin without pale elliptical patch. Male genital papilla immediately behind anus in a narrow longitudinal groove (Ref. 44353). Plain body; caudal peduncle 7-10 times longer than deep (Ref. 43281).
