More on author: Fowler.
Environment: milieu / climate zone / depth range / distribution range
Ecologia
; Água doce bentopelágico. Tropical
Asia: Chao Phraya basin in Thailand (Ref. 39226) and China (Ref. 31517).
Tamanho / Peso / Idade
Maturity: Lm ?  range ? - ? cm
Max length : 7.8 cm SL macho/indeterminado; (Ref. 39226)
Raios dorsais (total) : 12; Raios anais : 8. A member of the group of species with complete or nearly complete lateral line, 8 1/2 branched dorsal rays, 9+8 branched caudal rays and no sexual dimorphism. Can be distinguished by the following characters: caudal peduncle 0.84-1.11 times longer than deep, its length being 12.4-14.7% SL, 58-71% HL and its depth 12.9-14.8% SL, 58-73% HL; 9-12 bars (Ref. 39226).
Occurs in small mountain streams with fast and shallow water. Feeds on insects and invertebrates, based on the stomach contents of a 5.46 cm SL specimen. Juveniles were observed to form loose troops of 10-20 individuals (Ref. 39226)
